02/14/2020

The European Working Conditions Survey (EWCS) is carried out in all countries of the European Union, as well as in seven candidate countries to join it, as well as in Norway and Switzerland. Between 1000 and 3300 workers in each country will be interviewed to survey a total of more than 45,000 people. The interviews will be conducted in person at the domicile of the interviewees. It is essential that the largest possible number of people respond to the survey so that the results are reliable. The people to contact will be chosen at random.

The results of the EWCS will be used to:

    monitor progress and challenges regarding the quality of work;
    analyze the performance of the employment policy from the point of view of the quality of employment;
    identify groups at risk and other matters of interest in addition to their progress;
    Contribute to developing new labor policies focused on people.

The first results of the survey will be published in 2021 and will be available in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

All the information collected will be anonymized so that no person can be identified from the results. With this, we comply with national and European legislation.
